Now you're taking two rounds in the studio.
First Round Photograph the following (but make it cool):
Looping
Paramount (butterfly)
Rembrant
Split/Profile
Second Round Photograph with a colored background and have some freedom with it. I just want you to at least have 5 AMAZING images from a colored background.
Students will learn the fundamentals of studio lighting by practicing key lighting techniques, such as loop, Rembrandt, butterfly/paramount, and split lighting. They will apply these techniques creatively in a studio setting while also mastering basic safety protocols and proper handling of artificial lights.
I will learn and apply the basic lighting techniques of loop, Rembrandt, butterfly/paramount, and split lighting to create different moods and effects in portraits.
I will experiment with artificial lighting setups, adjusting the position and intensity of lights to create desired outcomes and explore creative possibilities.
I will work safely in a studio environment, following proper handling procedures for lights, cords, and equipment to prevent accidents or damage.
I will demonstrate emergency safety skills, such as how to properly disconnect equipment and respond to lighting malfunctions.
I will practice teamwork by collaborating with my classmates to design and execute lighting setups for portraits or creative photoshoots.
I will evaluate how lighting can influence mood, texture, and tone in portrait photography, considering the effects of each lighting technique on the final image.
I will reflect on how safety and creativity can coexist in a studio environment, ensuring that technical skills are used effectively without compromising safety.
