Students will explore urban environments through street photography, capturing candid, architectural, and environmental scenes that reflect life in downtown Boise. They will also be introduced to Adobe Lightroom, learning how to enhance and organize their images using professional editing workflows.
I will practice observational photography by capturing candid moments, architecture, textures, and human interaction in an urban setting.
I will develop my composition skills in a real-world environment, paying attention to framing, perspective, and timing.
I will gain experience working in a public, fast-moving space, learning how to photograph respectfully and creatively in unfamiliar settings.
I will learn how to import, organize, and edit photos using Adobe Lightroom, including adjustments to exposure, color, sharpness, and cropping.
I will compare Lightroom and Photoshop, understanding when and why each tool is used in a professional workflow.
I will reflect on the challenges and opportunities of street photography, considering how environment influences artistic decisions.
I will curate and present a final series of images that showcase my strongest work from the urban shoot, demonstrating growth in both photography and editing.
