Students will interpret the meaning of a song by analyzing its lyrics, visuals, and emotional tone, and then create a photo series that tells a story inspired by their interpretation. They will apply composition techniques, explore visual storytelling, and enhance their images through thoughtful editing in Photoshop.
I will analyze the lyrics and visuals of a selected song to understand the artist's message, tone, and themes.
I will develop my own interpretation of the song, planning how to express its emotion and meaning through photography.
I will apply composition rules such as leading lines, framing, and rule of thirds to visually communicate my story.
I will create a cohesive photo series that tells a story related to the song's message, using imagery that connects with viewers emotionally.
I will use Photoshop editing techniques to refine my images, including exposure adjustments, color grading, and subtle retouching.
I will reflect on the storytelling power of photography, evaluating how effectively my photos convey the theme or narrative.
I will present my work with an explanation of my creative choices, including how the song, lyrics, and visual cues influenced my final imagery.
